A couple who photograph couples

We are a couple who photograph and film weddings together, in Sweden and in Denmark. We started Par Studio so we could do exactly that, side by side.

We believe in love. A wedding is two people choosing each other in front of everyone they hold dear, and being trusted to document it is an honour every time. We work in a documentary style and let the day take its course. The laughter, the tears and the glances when nobody is watching are what remain, and that is why we do this.

Zana comes from film. It began with music videos and grew into commercials, documentaries and short films, and since 2019 he has run his own film company. What drives him is how a story is told, that a film should have a beginning, a pace and an ending you can feel, and few stories are as good to tell as a wedding day. He trained in media technology with a focus on production management, and you notice it in the way the schedule holds.

Anela comes from the image. As an art director and creative lead she has built campaigns and brands, and it is her eye that decides how our photographs look. What drives her is the light and the details, how a veil falls, where you should stand so the background works for you, and everything you spent months choosing. In her pictures nothing is accidental, and yet it looks as if it simply happened.

Film is Zana's speciality and photography is Anela's, but we can both do both. We are used to juggling a whole day together, with two cameras and two pairs of eyes on the same moment.

Getting to do this together, as a couple, is a privilege, and it is also when the result is at its best. In the middle of an eventful day, we create a calm and safe environment around you, so you can let go of everything else and simply be with each other.

We would like to get to know you before the wedding. So we suggest a longer meeting, in Malmö, in Copenhagen or online, where we mostly listen. How you met, what you want from the day and how you want it to feel when you look back on it. Then we visit the venue when we can and build the schedule with you. On the day itself, nothing rests on you.
